Physical description: Nihil was big. Really big. The kind of guy who worked for years in a forge and got a pretty impressive musculate body. He has a big V scar on his back, starting at each shoulders and going down to the beginning of his buttock. He is looking at the world with serenity through thoses semi-opened green eyes, and his hair, black with silver streakings, are total mess. They fall down to the third of the scar on his back. His face is squared, with a prominent chin. A short nose, common enough, and a mouth quite big, with soft lips and sharp teeth and seems to always switch between a gentle smile and a sarcastic one. Always smiling, his face looks open, most of the time. Like some kind of paternal face. When he isn't topless working in the heat of his forge, he usually wear fine black leather pants, a pair of military boots, a light white shirt, a really long black leather coat with some metal pieces incrusted in it. From the sound it makes, there are a lot more things in it than just a few metal crap... And don't forget the hat !! He made it himself. Black, of course.

Personality: Calm and discret, Nihil is the kind of tall guy who goes unnoticed. Until he start talking, you won't notice him, even if he was sitting right next to you. When he gets angry, and lucky for us it does not happen often, is the moment you will understand what being tall means. Too bad you won't be here anymore to explain it to us. Excepted those rare moments of explosions, he is quite calm and shy. He actually love to get a drink with some friends and can quietly listen to your problems. Don't think he doesn't care if he start to knit something, it's his way to focus his mind and I can assure you that he is totally listening to what you're telling him.

    He also have something rare in this world, a real honesty and fidelity. As soon as you become is friend, you can count on him to cover your back, listen to you or share a drink. It's said that when he'll find the right person, he will offer his life and destiny to that person. He call that person, the string of fate. Dunno if it's a joke about how everyone is supposed to be tied to a string from the beginning of life to the end, but last time someone made fun of this loyalty, we never saw that fool come back from the "little chat" with Nihil..
He can endure high heat, that's why he love so much his job. But the cold isn't a problem for him either. How can he be wearing his outfit when we're freezing here.

    Why is he like he is ? We don't know. We heard his story, but there are still a lot of shadows around him.. But, judge by yourself.

History: As i said, we don't know much about him. The few informations we have are either military recruitement papers or few things he gave us. As hints, he said.
His parents raised him in the moutain. We don't know where, but he said it was cold.. really cold. And for him to say so... it has to be an artic zone. His dad was an ex-berserker. His mom was his beast tamer and could actually control both fire and water. They died when he was 8. We don't know why. The official state : died in an avalanche. Looking at how Nihil's eyes turned black when we mentioned it, i guess there is something more than just an avalanche. What happened between his parent's death and his arrival here is a complete black hole.
    It's said that one day, he simply appeared in front of Diune, asking for him to be his mentor. Nobody noticed him until he was right in front of Diune. What happened then ? The stories went crazy as every guards, pages and nobles presents at this moment made their own version of the facts. Few days laters, Nihil was opening his own blacksmith shop in Port-Edwards.
Commoners like us don't know if he was accepted as Diune's apprentice, but let tell you something. If he wasn't, i don't think he would have installed his forge here. Why did he asked Diune ? Don't know.
    Now my story is ending. That's all i can say now, since he asked me to keep my tongue and tell you only what he allow us to know. We'll have to wait for him to do something impressive before we can learn anything more. Well, I hope so. I wish i could be one of his comrade. Maybe they'll manage to pierce all the shadows around him. But what is waiting in them, is probably better kept sleeping.  

Additional Info: Nihil fight with 2 guns called Sorrow & Desolation and have quite a stock of daggers and throwing knifes hidden in his coat. As a blacksmith he can make them quite easily but he prefer to sell his work to warriors who got "potential". His weak fire control ability can't really help him in fights but is quite enough to allow him to craft real masterpieces in his forge, and can come in handy if you need to repair a weapon on the battlefield.
